The SiteDog [Plug-In] includes support for the watchdog
card PWDOG1, Heddier's Rebooter and the timeout2400. These
devices will automatically reboot your system after a system
failure
SiteDog was designed to support certain hardware reboot
devices that can restart your terminals in the event of
a system crash. This means virtually no downtime. We recommend
deploying this solution especially if you operate standalone
terminals that use Win98 or ME.
The SiteKiosk Basic Version already includes a software
watchdog, which will relaunch the browser automatically
whenever the application crashes. However, there are situations
where the software alone will not be enough to revive the
system, for example, if your system experiences a complete
crash (blue screen).
If you want to use SiteDog, you will need either the SiteKiosk
Plus or Payment Bundles.
